Bernard T. Moyle, COO & CFOBernie is responsible for the oversight of Cal-Vegas, Ltd., its overall relationship with its clients and assists the VP of Operations in her day-to-day roll in the management of client assets.
Through Cal-Vegas and other entities, Bernie has been involved in hotel ownership and management since 1996 and is therefore not only familiar with overseeing management for third parties but, is also intimately familiar with the need to consider not only the best interests of the property but also the best interests of the owners, lenders, vendors and employees.
Moyle also has a wide range of experience in government relations tourism and economic development as he has held several posts for the City of Coral Springs including Chairman of the Board for the Economic Development Foundation, Vice Chair of the Community Redevelopment Authority and twice Chair of the Charter Review Committee. During his time serving Coral Springs, he helped attract more than 50 new businesses to the area, creating thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in positive economic impact. Currently, he is a member of the board of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, both State and Broward County (Fort Lauderdale) and is the Co-Chair of the Tourism Committee of the Broward Workshop.
Prior to joining Cal-Vegas (one of the companies of which he is a co-founder), Moyle practiced commercial law for 18 years and was Managing Partner at Benson, Moyle, Mucci LLP in Fort Lauderdale.
Moyle holds a Bachelors Degree from Salisbury State University and Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University. He has been recognized as the Distinguished Alumni of the Year for Nova Southeastern and is a former treasurer and president of the alumni association.
Barbara Hanna, Vice President, OperationsBarbara Hanna brings over 25 years of successful hands-on experience to Cal-Vegas Ltd. As Vice President of Operations, she directly oversees the key assets managed by the company, including identifying efficiencies and driving overall profitability for the hotels and resorts in our portfolio. Specializing in operations, cost control, revenue management and renovations, Barbara's oversight and guidance has added immeasurable value to Cal-Vegas Ltd. and the properties we serve.
Prior to joining Cal-Vegas Ltd, Barbara gained valuable experience working for IHG, in all phases of operations and management, as well as 7 years with Vantage Hospitality Group, serving as Director of Sales, Support, and Assurance Program. Barbara is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) by the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
B. Thomas Romeo, Director of Hotel TechnologyTom has over 20 years of technology experience in a variety of industries beginningÂ post university work in libraries, schools and universities where he was responsible for multi-million dollar budgets. Tom has creatively impacted the most advanced and modern designs of a variety of wide and metropolitan area public sector networks.
Introduced to the hospitality industry in South Florida, Tom managed technologies for a variety of boutique South Beach hotels from the TownHouse, the Continuum and other Design Hotels properties to the Vantage brands ofÂ Lexington, Jameson Inn, America's Best Value Inn.
Cheryl Tolin, Accounting ManagerCheryl has over 30 years of accounting experience in various industries including hospitality, manufacturing, distribution and several non-profit organizations. She has been involved in a variety of hotel brands including Red Lion Hotels, Jameson Inns, Lexington, Americaâ€™s Best Value Inn and La Playa hotels. She has exceptional planning and implementation capabilities and has been involved in many onboarding, migration and acquisition scenarios.
Attention to detail, long range planning and accuracy, are Cheryl's hallmark traits, while having a great attitude with the Cal-Vegas team. Cheryl always provides us with outstanding customer services both internally and externally. Cheryl is a proven asset to the Cal-Vegas team with familiarity of most financial platforms including M3, Great Plains and QuickBooks Enterprise. She is also very familiar with payment processing systems and PCI compliance.
Cheryl joined Cal-Vegas in 2012 and works out of our Coral Springs office. She is certified in hospitality accounting.
Jesse Ostrum Vice President of Revenue ManagementJesse Ostrum has more than 20 years of revenue management experience in hospitality and tourism. Ostrum was instrumental in developing and implementing the Vantage Competitive Intelligence program, which provides market and competitor information, as well as property-specific recommendations, so that Vantage's members can maximize their revenues.
Prior to Vantage, Ostrum led revenue management teams at SuperClubs Resorts International, Renaissance Cruises and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. He holds both a bachelor's degree in business and an MBA in finance from the University of Florida.
Lena Susannah Babani, Revenue ManagerLena Susannah Babani, serves as the Revenue Manager for Cal-Vegas Ltd, where she focuses on maximizing hotel revenues and maintaining a competitive edge within the hotel market. Prior to joining Vantage Hospitality in 2015, Susannah has worked for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, gaining a strong knowledge and understanding within reservations, sales, and revenue management. Susannah graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration.
